The Tillamook County Creamery Association Board of Directors has named Patrick Criteser as the association's new president and CEO.

Criteser replaces Harold Strunk, who retired in June.

Criteser spent the past eight years in the coffee industry, most recently as president and CEO of Coffee Bean International, a Portland-based coffee roaster.

While at the roaster, he grew sales more than 300 percent.

Previously, Criteser held management positions at Nike, Walt Disney Co. and Procter and Gamble.

Criteser, a native Oregonian, has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Washington and a master's degree in business administration from Harvard Business School.

"We feel strongly that Patrick's leadership expertise and history of successfully growing very solid companies make him extremely qualified to lead TCCA toward continued future success and growth," Joe Rocha, chairman of the association's board of directors, said in a prepared statement.

Criteser will assume his duties Aug. 20. He will be the eighth CEO in the 103-year history of the dairy cooperative.
