Hay growers gather Jan. 16-17

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Story Musgrave, retired NASA astronaut and physician from Florida, is the luncheon speaker at the Washington State Hay Growers Association annual conference at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick, Jan. 16.

Jolene Brown, an Iowa farmer and family succession planning motivational speaker, is the luncheon speaker, Jan. 17.

More than 500 growers and industry members are expected to attend.

Farm finances and insurance, hay varieties, pest and weed control and marketing will be covered by more than 20 speakers.

The accompanying trade show features 60 vendors representing seeds, fertilizers, soil and tissue testing, hay analysis, haying equipment, irrigation, hay sheds, tarps and ag lenders.
