ZILLAH, Wash. -- Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate spoke about fitness and nutrition at Zillah Middle School to celebrate students' participation in the National Dairy Council's and National Football League's Fuel Up to Play 60 program.
The school's participation was sponsored by the Washington State Dairy Council. The program promotes healthy eating from five food groups: dairy, fruits, vegetables, grains and protein. Student-led fitness and nutrition initiatives involved parents and teachers.
Earlier this year, the school was the Washington winner of the "Casting Call Challenge," a contest sponsored by the Fuel Up to Play 60 program. The school received a kiosk with an Xbox 360 console with Kinect and TV.
