Meeting to focus on camelina
Willamette Biomass Processors is holding an informational meeting on the agronomy, economics and crushing of camelina from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15 at its facility, 1055 S. Pacific Highway, Rickreall, Ore.
The oilseed crushing company also is interested in talking to growers about growing camelina as a rotation crop in the valley.

Store opens
near Cornelius
A new spray equipment and farm supply store has opened in Cornelius, Ore.
JTS Supply, launched in August, sells all the parts needed to keep farmers' spray equipment up and running. Earl Dykes, general manager, has worked for various agricultural companies in the country.
Dykes developed expertise in spray equipment while working for an agricultural supply company in Oregon's Willamette Valley, and he set out on his own earlier this year.
The firm also sells storage tanks, pruning equipment and vineyard supplies.
