Templeton, California-July 8, 2013.  Members of the FFA Reserve National Champion Livestock Judging team recently traveled to the Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh, Scotland to compete in the Scottish Association of Young Farmers Club Stockman of the Year Competition.

Team members Kayla Hildebrand and Vanessa Soto took first place honors in the sheep judging division.  The team competed against members of other top placing national teams from the United States.  Prior to the competition, team members were given an informational presentation on common evaluation practices for Scottish livestock.

FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agriculture education.
