County 4-H program offers loans for swine, sheep projects

RED BLUFF, Calif. - Tehama County youngsters who may not otherwise be able to afford to purchase an animal to take to the Tehama District Fair have until April 19 to apply for a special loan.

First-year swine or sheep 4-H project members are eligible for the Ron Knight Memorial Livestock Loan Program, which provides a maximum loan of $200.

To apply, a 4-H member must complete the loan application and submit a budget to the 4-H office, 1754 Walnut St., Red Bluff.
