California Farm Bureau accepting scholarship applications

SACRAMENTO -- The California Farm Bureau Federation is accepting scholarship applications from students interested in pursuing careers in agriculture.

The organization's collegiate members have until March 1 to seek awards that are given based on students' academic achievements, leadership skills, career goals, extracurricular activities and other factors.

The CFBF's Scholarship Foundation last year awarded $202,250 in scholarships and surpassed $2 million in scholarships given since its inception in 1955, according to a news release. More than 70 students received funds last year.
