GREENLEAF, Idaho -- Valley Agronomics has announced it will open a new fertilizer plant in Greenleaf.
A grand opening for the facility will be held June 28 but the facility is somewhat operational now, said marketing manager Eric Holbrook.
"They are hauling fertilizer out of there right now," he said.
Valley Agronomics is consolidating operations at its plants in Nampa, Idaho, and Nyssa, Ore., into the Greenleaf facility, which has the capacity to store more than 17,000 tons of dry fertilizer and more than 1.2 million gallons of liquid fertilizer.
The company's Emmett, Idaho, plant will remain open.
The grand opening celebration is open to the public and will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the plant location at 20870 Van Slyke Road in Greenleaf.
