Succession workshops planned
A pair of upcoming workshops will help families and landowners address the legal and economic aspects of transferring farm and forest lands from one generation to the next.
Ties to the Land Workshop is an award-winning curriculum developed by leading estate planning experts at Oregon State University Extension and the Austin Family Business Program.
The workshop will take place over two evenings, from 5-9 p.m. March 21 and 28, at the Qualco Energy Conference Room, 18117 203rd St. SE, Monroe, WA 98272, just off State Road 203). Cost is $40 per family and includes a workbook and two dinners each evening. Additional workbooks and meals are available.
The workshop is hosted and sponsored by Washington FarmLink/Cascade Harvest Coalition, Washington State Department of Agriculture Specialty Crop Block Grant Program, Washington State University Extension, WSU Snohomish County Extension, WSU Extension Puget Sound Forest Stewardship Program and Snohomish Conservation District.
