WSDA to update 'Green Book'
As the WSDA prepares to update its Small Farm and Direct Marketing Handbook -- "The Green Book" -- it is seeking input in assessing what needs to be improved, updated or added.
The agency wants to hear from farmers, processors, ranchers, extension educators, health and food safety officials, students and buyers, wanting to know who uses the handbook, how they use it and if it has helped their business.
Communications director Hector Castro said the November 2013 update of the 2010 publication will include new phone numbers and new contacts and resources.
