Templeton, California-June 4, 2012. The Templeton FFA Support Club recently held its annual project auction fund-raiser. The auction allows Templeton Agriculture Department students to showcase their construction skills by having them create and sell mechanics projects.
There were over 200 community members present at the dinner which also included a raffle and silent auction to benefit the Templeton FFA Support Club. Thirty-two student-made projects were auctioned including wine cabinets, BBQ pits, and metal artwork. The grand champion project was a hydraulic wood splitter built by Senior Cody Dye. Other students receiving champion recognition were Chase Koehler, Ally Reich, Jessica Striegel, Sabrina Dunn, and Karlee Delisle. Through the generous support of the community, the students involved in the auction earned over $29,000 for their projects.
FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agriculture education.
