Meridian FFA Hosts Appreciation Breakfast

On February 22, 2013, the Meridian FFA Chapter held their annual FFA Appreciation Breakfast at the end of National FFA Week.  More than six hundred members and guests attended.  Guests ranged from FFA Alumni to Meridian Dairy Men to high school students and staff and past FFA members.  Idaho State FFA Secretary Lauren Clark also attended.

For breakfast, the menu was pancakes, scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, coffee, and milk.  The senior members of the chapter prepared and cooked the food.  Alumni members handled the beverages and condiments.  Other members wrote name tags, greeted guests, handed out plates and silverware, and chatted with guests.

Thank you to the local businesses who contributed to the breakfast, including US Bank, Simplot, Meridian Meats, and the United Dairymen of Idaho.  The chapter also sold tractor raffle tickets for the state wide tractor drawing which will take place at the State Leadership Conference in Twin Falls, Idaho.  Guests bought the tickets and the money received goes towards scholarships for Idaho FFA seniors.
