Chelan FFA Alumni and McMillan Rodeos Host Lake Chelan Rodeo

The Lake Chelan Rodeo would like you to be part of the 2012 Lake Chelan Rodeo Parade.   Enter your group, your car, or yourself in the parade on Thursday August 2nd at 7:00 PM in Downtown Chelan.  Entries can be picked up at All Season’s Rentals in Chelan or online at www.mcmillanfamilytrickriders.com they need to be completed and returned by July 31st.    The Rodeo Parade kicks off two weeks of Rodeo in the Chelan Valley. 

The Lake Chelan Rodeo will be held August 3rd and 4th at the Rustlers Arena with a full slate of Rodeo Events.  Gates open each night at 5:00 PM with vendors, cowboy corner, beer garden, and concessions with performances starting at 7:30 PM.  Friday night in KOZI Family Night with the “World Famous Chicken Race”, Watson’s Shadow Bay Belgians, a performance by the McMillan Family Trick Riders, and Rodeo Clown Tucker “The Magic Man” Cool,   Saturday Night will feature performances Mexican Dancing Horse the Skagit Rein Riders, McMillan Family Trick Riders, and Tucker Cool.  Ranch Bronc Riding will be a new feature of this year’s rodeo which will show off the talents of working cowboys from all over the Western United States.  Saturday Morning from 6:00 to 10:00 AM everyone is welcome to enjoy the Cowboy Breakfast with the Chelan FFA Alumni at the Rodeo Grounds and catch the timed event slack performance free.  The rodeo is sanctioned by the Pro West Rodeo Association, Northwest Pro Rodeo Association, and the Western State Ranch Bronc Riders Association.  The Lake Chelan Rodeo is brought to you by the Chelan FFA Alumni and McMillan Rodeos. 

Admission for Rodeo is $10.00 for Adults,  $6.00 for Students 7-17 and Seniors,  $30.00 Family Pass (2 Adults and 3 Students), and kids 6 and under are Free.  Pre-Sale Tickets are available at Chelan Shell Food Mart at the stoplight corner in Chelan. 

The Chelan Junior Rodeo will be held on Saturday and Sunday August 11th and 12th with performances starting at 10:00 AM each day.  Entries are now open for youth ages 2 to 18 years.  Entry forms are available at the Chelan Rustlers Clubhouse at 71 Union Valley Road in Chelan or online at www.ewjra.org or www.ctjra.org.  Entries are due on August 1st and all forms must be notarized.  47 events in 5 age groups from Little People ages 5 and under,  Pee Wee Girls and Boys 6-8,  Junior Girls and Boys 9-11,  Intermediate Girls and Boys 12-14, and Senior Girls and Boys 15-18.  Admission to the Junior Rodeo is free so come and watch for couple hours or stay all day.

There is plenty of rodeo action in the Lake Chelan Valley this summer and we want you to be a part of it.  Come out and see today’s champions and the future champions of the original American sport-Rodeo.
