Chobani to hold grand opening

TWIN FALLS, Idaho -- Chobani Greek Yogurt will hold a grand opening at its new 1 million-square-foot yogurt plant at 3450 Kimberly Road East in Twin Falls at 3 p.m on Dec. 17.

Attending the event will be Hamdi Ulukaya, Chobani president, CEO and founder, Idaho Gov. Butch Otter and Twin Falls Mayor Greg Lanting.

Chobani broke ground on the plant in December 2011.

Chobani officials will also announce the company's 2013 new product innovations, which will be produced from the new facility.

The new plant, which is on 200 acres, will create more than 300 new jobs.
