Cattlemen build annual convention around preserving industry, lifestyle

The theme for the 96th annual Idaho Cattle Association Convention and Trade Show, "Saving Our Legacy," sets the stage for discussions and presentations about what the cattle industry can do to preserve its way of life.
The event is set for Nov. 16-18 at Sun Valley.
The convention's speakers including Lt. Gov. Brad Little, former U.S. Sen. Larry Craig, NCBA President-elect Steve Foglesong, EPA's Region 10 Ag Adviser Karma Anderson, two attorneys and more.
Motivational speaker Bruce Vincent will headline the evening event on Nov. 16 with his speech -- "With Vision, There is Hope" -- about how people who make their living off the land are the original and true environmentalists.
Discussion topics for the meeting include tax planning, ongoing natural resource litigation, EPA regulations, economic outlook, state legislative issues and more.
Producer workshops will offer educational opportunities for producers on all three days of the convention. Workshop topics will include tax planning, reproductive and nutrition efficiency and genetic selection.
