Grazing conference set for Chico

California State University-Chico University Farm will host the the annual Western Regional Grazing Conference March 17-18 at the University Farm Pavilion.

The two-day seminar features a variety of speakers who will be discussing improved grazing practices within the western region.

There will also be hands-on workshops with topics ranging from "mineral nutrition and herd health" to "grazing behavior and weed management" during the event.

The conference is sponsored by the University of California Cooperative Extension Service, CSU-Chico Agriculture Research Initiative, Organic Valley Family of Farms, Farmers Advocating for Organics, Horizon Organics and the Dairy Farmers of America.

Cost of the conference is $25 with advance registration or $50 at the door.
