Farm workshop scheduled

How to find farmland, enter a lease and protect yourself in a lease contract are among the topics that will be covered at a workshop scheduled for Nov. 10 in Medford, Ore.

The Land Connection workshop is hosted by THRIVE, The Rogue Valley Initiative for a Vital Economy.

Other topics include "financing agricultural businesses" and "exploring the small farm dream."

Dennis Canty of the American Farmland Trust and Greg Holmes of 1000 Friends of Oregon will provide keynote presentations.

The workshop is scheduled at Rogue Community College's Higher Education Center, 101 S. Bartlett St.

Though registration for the workshops has closed, the keynote presentations, scheduled at 4 p.m., are open to the public at no charge.
