Man dies in Fremont County grain elevator

NEWDALE, Idaho (AP) -- A 38-year-old man has died after being buried in a grain elevator.

The Fremont County dispatch says emergency crews raced to the scene after receiving a call shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday but were not able to get the man to the surface of the grain before he died.

The death occurred at the General Mills Grain Elevators in Newdale.

There was no immediate word on how the man came to be buried in the grain.

His name was being withheld until relatives could be notified.
