PUYALLUP, Wash. (AP) -- An icon of the Puyallup Fair has been moved from a main entrance to help symbolize the name change to Washington State Fair.
The oversize cow head bust was removed Monday from the Gold Gate.
The News Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/ZTTPy1) ticket booths and a canopy also will be removed as part of a remodel that will open a street level view into the fairgrounds.
This year's fair opens Sept. 6 in Puyallup.
