Prosser grape grower also crushing and pressing

PROSSER, Wash. (AP) -- The Zirkle Wine Co. in Prosser grows grapes, crushes grapes and ferments grape juice, but don't look for its brand in the market.

The company processes wine for others. One of its biggest customers is Chateau St. Michelle in Woodinville, the largest wine producer in Washington.

The Tri-City Herald reports (http://is.gd/BUMn4R ) Zirkle completed a $4.5 million custom crush facility just in time for this year's harvest. It crushed and pressed the juice out of about 5,000 tons of grapes.
