Shelter says wandering 'goat' is actually a sheep

SEATTLE (AP) -- Here's one possible reason no one has claimed a "goat" Seattle police found wandering around the Beacon Hill neighborhood: It's actually a sheep.

Don Baxter of the Seattle Animal Shelter says there was some confusion after police turned the animal in and reported it publicly as a lost goat. He says it's looks a little different from the white, fluffy Bo Peep variety because it's a hair sheep, not a wool sheep.

It's a full size male with curved horns.

An officer on patrol spotted the animal Sunday morning wandering down a street.
