Tractor-trailer driver hurt when milk load shifts

CORDOVA, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say a tractor trailer driver was hurt when his rig hauling milk rolled on its side as he drove on a sharp curve.

Troopers were called Tuesday about 5:35 a.m. to Church Lane in Cordova. Police say 43-year-old James Sanchez was traveling north when the weight shifted in his trailer.

Troopers say Sanchez may have been trapped in his vehicle for an hour before a local farmer found him.

Sanchez was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, where was listed in stable condition.

Crews cleaned up the 5,000 gallons of milk that spilled onto the road.
