Grains futures rise, livestock prices mixed

CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures rose in early trading Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery jumped 29.50 cents to $7.19 a bushel; December corn rose 20 cents to $7.1625 a bushel; December oats rose 10.50 to $3.7450 a bushel; while November soybeans added 15.75 cents to $14.02 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle fell 0.50 cent to $1.1035 a pound; August feeder cattle rose 0.93 cent to $1.3550 a pound; and August lean hogs rose 1.40 cent to 99.85 cents a pound.
