North Clackamas FFA 2nd at State Ag Sales

On December 10, 2011, nineteen teams gathered to compete in one of the most challenging contests of the year. The teams all gathered in Dayton, Oregon to compete in the State Agricultural Sales career development event. This event helps students build on their skills in product and telephone sales, customer relations, prospecting for customers, creating advertisements, and also making a team marketing plan.

Katelin Walker, Danielle Bull, Jordanne Marggi and Katie Fuller each represented the North Clackamas FFA chapter. After hours of practice and late nights in the Ag room with their advisor Kathy Mayfield, this team was awarded 2nd place in the state contest with Jordanne Marggi placing 4th high individual and Katelin Walker placing 1st high individual! Not only were these members thrilled to have made such an accomplishment, but they were also happy to have developed and showcased new skills in Agricultural Sales.

Wish all of these members, as well as the many others in the North Clackamas FFA chapter, luck as they prepare for the numerous speaking and career development events that are rapidly approaching!
