U.S. Rep. Greg Walden, R-Ore., will be in Eastern Oregon for a series of town hall meetings across five counties where he will provide a congressional update and answer questions from the public.
“These town hall meetings are another way I keep in close touch with the concerns of Oregonians,” Walden said in an announcement. “I will answer questions from attendees and give an update on local issues that remain my priorities.”
The Umatilla County Town Hall is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, March 17 at Helix School. Walden will also visit earlier in the day at noon with the Pendleton Rotary Club at the Elks Lodge, 14 SE Third St.
On Tuesday, Walden will hold town halls in Morrow, Gilliam and Sherman counties. The first is set for 8 a.m. at the SAGE Center, 101 Olson Road in Boardman; the second for 10:15 a.m. at Gilliam County Grain Lab, 14000 Shutler Drive in Arlington; and the last for 12:15 p.m. at Bob’s Texas T-Bone, 101 E. First St. in Rufus.
In addition, Walden will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day Saturday, March 15 in downtown Heppner for the 32nd annual “Wee Bit O’ Ireland” festival. The Union County Town Hall is then set for 3 p.m. Sunday, March 16, at the Wallowa-Union Train Depot in Elgin.
