Walnut workshop to discuss water scarcity

Water use in a dry year will be a key topic at a University of California Cooperative Extension-sponsored walnut workshop in Lakeport, Calif., on March 14.

LAKEPORT, Calif. — Water use in a dry year will be a key topic of discussion at a University of California Cooperative Extension-sponsored walnut workshop here March 14.

The 8 a.m. event will include talks on the status of surface and groundwater supplies, water use monitoring and frost protection.

The workshop will be held in the Mendocino College Lake County Campus’ “round room”, 2565 Parallel Drive, Lakeport.
