Kimberly competes in national milk quality contest

The Kimberly FFA chapter competed in the national dairy competition at the national convention in Louisville, Ky.

The Kimberly FFA Chapter attended The National FFA Convention in Louisville, Ky., on October 22- November 2.

Four of our members, Bailey Ray, Danica Kluth, Kandis Bordi, and Kayte Garren competed in the Milk Quality and Products CDE. The Milk Quality and Products CDE must have four members to compete.

Throughout the competition the four members have to go through a variety of different tests that consist of milk flavor identification, evaluation of cheeses, a written exam of their knowledge and the fat content of milk.

Bailey Ray placed 5th High individual receiving $600, Danica Kluth placed 9th high individual receiving $400.00, Kandis Bordi placed 11th high individual, and Katie Garren received a silver award. The Kimberly Milk Quality and Products team placed 2nd overall.
