A multi-state dairy research and extension group, including dairy specialists with the University of Idaho and Washington State University, is surveying dairy producers on their knowledge and opinion of genomics testing for breeding purposes.
The group is investigating new fertility traits for which genomics technology might be used. Because the technology is a new tool that could be used for herd improvement, the team is interested in what producers have heard think about genomics testing and whether they’ve used it.
Responses to the survey will help the team understand dairymen’s position and educational needs related to genomics testing, according to the survey notice.
Participation is voluntary, and all responses are anonymous. The survey takes about 5 minutes to complete and can be accessed at
