STANWOOD, Wash. — The annual Country Living Expo and Cattlemen’s Winterschool has been expanded, with new events and classes from aquaponics to yogurt making.
The Stanwood FFA will host the Winterschool on Jan. 25, which will offer more than 175 classes, most of them dealing with livestock.
This year also include activities on Jan. 24 — kimchi making, parasite control and Beef 200, a day long series of classes on raising high-quality farm-to-table beef — and on Jan. 25 — a beef farm tour.
Many classes fill early, so Washington State University Extension’s Joan DeVries advised early registration online at skagit.wsu.edu/CountryLivingExpo/
More information is available on the website or by phone at 360-428-4270 Ext. 0.
Sponsors include WSU Skagit County Extension, the WSU Madstrer Livestock Foundation and the Cattlemen’s Association.
