HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) — The Washington County sheriff’s office says the founder of Dave’s Killer Bread, David Dahl, was arrested Thursday night after a disturbance and chase that wrecked three patrol cars.
The sheriff’s office says the 50-year-old Milwaukie man was treated for minor injuries and jailed on charges that include assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and reckless driving. Three deputies also were treated for minor injuries.
Deputies were called about 10 p.m. by a woman who said her friend was acting erratically. As they arrived, Dahl’s car rammed a patrol car head-on. The sheriff’s office says he rammed a second patrol car head-on and was pinned by another deputy’s car before he was taken into custody.
Dave’s Killer Bread website says Dahl served 15 years in prison before turning his life around.
