Thousands of pot plants seized in California greenhouses

Three men were arrested after authorities seized thousands of marijuana plants from a greenhouse in a rural area near San Diego.

RAINBOW, Calif. (AP) — San Diego County authorities have seized thousands of marijuana plants growing in rural greenhouses.

U-T San Diego (http://bit.ly/1eehLCO ) says nearly 3,400 plants, most of them full-grown, were seized Tuesday in unincorporated Rainbow. Three men were arrested.

Authorities say the greenhouses were surrounded by other commercial greenhouses and plant nurseries.
