Slaughter lambs were mostly steady to $4 lower, instances sharply lower. Slaughter ewes were mostly steady to $8 lower. Feeder lambs were not well tested.

Domestic wool trading on a clean basis was active the last couple of weeks. There were 350,000 lbs. of confirmed trades and demand was good to very good. The wool trade is stronger following three firmer market closes in Australia. Domestic wool trading on a greasy basis was moderate for the week. There were no confirmed trades.

Compared to April 25: Slaughter lambs were mostly steady to $4 lower, instances sharply lower. Slaughter ewes were mostly steady to $8 lower. Feeder lambs were not well tested. At San Angelo, Texas, 5,581 head sold in a one-day sale. No sales in Equity Electronic Auction. In direct trading slaughter ewes not tested; feeder lambs were weak. 5,400 head of negotiated sales of slaughter lambs were $2-6 lower and 9,900 head of formula sales of carcasses under 55 lbs. were not well tested; 55-65 lbs. were sharply lower; 65-85 lbs. were $1-2 higher; 85-95 lbs. were $1 lower and over 95 lbs. had no recent comparison. 4,820 lamb carcasses sold with 45 lbs. and down $5.12 higher; 45-55 lbs. $9.55 lower; 55-65 lbs. $6.15 higher; 65-75 lbs. $2.70 lower and 75 lbs. and up $.86-1.86 lower.
