On Sept. 25 the Quincy, Wash., FFA chapter hosted the annual Washington State FFA Association Evergreen Tour.
The Evergreen tour provides an opportunity for members from each of the nine FFA Districts around Washington to meet the Washington State FFA officers. The State officers facilitate workshops to teach FFA members important life lessons and values.
Over 400 FFA members attended this event from 11 different chapters including Soap Lake, Moses Lake, Warden, Lind-Ritzville, Washtucna, Wilson Creek, Kahlotus, Ephrata, Odessa, Wahluke and Quincy. The members were split into different groups based on grade level and sent off to one of the four workshops and then rotated. In the workshops, the members learned to write proper thank-you letters, got to know each other along with preforming skits that show kindness, talk about different CDEs, and talk about taking risks.
At the end of the workshops and the State officers regrouped on the PAC stage. During the recap the officers announced the new theme for 2018-19 year for the Washington FFA which will be “United.”
